Our first news item is one that has made is very happy. We are happy indeed to announce the arrival of our first grandchild. A daughter was born to our son Sheldon and his wife LaWynn on October 9, 1959 in the Utah Valley L.D.S. Hospital, Provo, Utah. They have named the precious little bundle Shalynn Murphy.
Mr. and Mrs. Noland Rowley and their little daughter, Jan and Mr. and Mrs. Miland Rowley and family all of Reno, Nevada, sons of Mr. and Mrs. H. Francis Rowley of Kalispell, Montana, were visiting at the parental home for a few days in august, then they drove to Chinook to visit their Aunt and Uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bert L. Murphy. On their way back to Reno, they stopped in Bountiful, Utah, and visited another Aunt and Uncle, Mr. and Mrs. David W. Rowley. Miland is now a clerk typist with the Bureau of Land Management in Reno and works with the administrative assistant to the Nevada State Supervisor.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rowley and family, who is also a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Francis Rowley have moved to Provo where Lawrence will attend the “Y” this year. Soon after their arrival in Provo, they drove over to Orem, to visit with Lawrence’s cousin Marjorie R, Judkins, whom he had not seen for about nine years.
