MARJORIE (Marjorie Ann Rowley) — You were such a sweet little girl and we were so proud of you and loved you so much. You were such a good little mother to the younger ones. I remember when you saved Hugh’s (Hugh Alcorn Rowley) life when he fell off the footbridge into the drain ditch. You ran and got Mrs. Wright to get him out. It was The Lord helping that caused him to crawl on the bottom instead of swallowing water, which would have caused him to drown. You were just a little girl when we left the farm and moved to California, but you were so much help to us there.
As a teenager you were the pride and joy of our home. You were the sunshine and sparkle that made life interesting for everyone around you. Your big smile and cheerful chatter and your zest for life was contagious. You have carried this same quality over into your marriage and the raising of your own family. I think that I could say that you have scattered roses along the way throughout your life.
I am proud of your devotion to the work of The Lord. Many people on the other side will come up and thank you for the work you have done in helping your own family to have their records and in teaching and encouraging others to be mindful of their dead. I love you with all my heart, my valiant daughter.
