History: Henry Melvin Sperry

Richard Melvin, Henry Melvin’s son, was born when he was 38 years old on 19 November 1919 in Salt Lake City.

Henry Melvin’s youngest child, a daughter, was born when he was 42 years old on 17 June 1923 in Salt Lake City. They named her June Irene.

On 25 June 1936, when Henry Melvin was 55 years old, his sister Ruth died at the age of 41 in Provo, Utah, Utah, United States.

When Henry Melvin was 59 years old, his mother (Caroline Webb) died on 31 December 1940 in Salt Lake City. She was 89 years old at the time of her death.

Jeanette died when Henry Melvin was 75 years old. She died at the age of 77 on 19 September 1956 in Salt Lake City.

On 5 March 1957, when Henry Melvin was 76 years old, his brother Arthur David died in Salt Lake City. He was 82 years old at the time of his death.

Henry Melvin’s sister, Lillian May, died when he was 85 years old on 22 June 1966 in Salt Lake City. She was 78 years old at the time of her death.

On 12 June 1969, when Henry Melvin was 88 years old, his sister, Retta, died at the age of 85 in Bell, Los Angeles, California, United States.

Henry Melvin died at the age of 90 on 9 April 1971 in Salt Lake City. He was buried at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, which is located at 2350 East 1300 South in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. His Find a Grave ID is: 42409688.

After his death his baptism and confirmation ordinances were completed on 18 August 1972 and his endowment ordinance was completed 20 October 1972 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Salt Lake Utah Temple, which is located at 50 North West Temple in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. These ordinances were completed by proxy. Henry Melvin was also sealed, by proxy, for time and eternity to his wife (Vera Lucille Daley) on 11 March 1982 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Jordan River Utah Temple, which is located at 10200 1300 West in South Jordan, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
