On 6 March 1909, Mattie Ann Elizabeth’s first daughter, Emma Lucille, was born when she was 26 years old. She was born in Justice Precinct One, Hill, Texas, United States.

After her death, Mattie Ann Elizabeth’s baptism and confirmation ordinances were completed on 26 June 1973; her endowment ordinances were completed 1 October 1973; and she was sealed to her parents 3 October 1973 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Salt Lake Utah Temple, which is located at 50 North West Temple in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States; she was sealed to her husband (Benjamin Hezekiah Smith) on 11 July 1992 in The Church’s Jordan River Utah Temple, which is located at 10200 1300 West in South Jordan, Salt Lake, Utah, United States; and her initiatory ordinance was completed 1 August 2006 in The Church’s Portland Oregon Temple, which is located at 13600 Kruse Oaks Boulevard in Lake Oswego, Clackamas, Oregon, United States. All of these ordinances were completed by proxy.
