History: Charles Edward Bolton

Charles Edward Bolton was born 19 October 1878 in Visalia County, California, United States to William Dixon Bolton, age 29, and Margaret Ewing, age 25. He was the 2nd of 2 children, and the 2nd of 2 sons, born to the couple. His old brother was James William and he was born 16 March 1877 in Visalia, Tulare, California, United States.

When Charles Edward was only 4 years old, his mother died at the age of 28 on 19 July 1883. She died in Bog Oak Flat, Tulare, California, United States. 

On 3 November 1897, when Charles Edward was 19 years old, his father died in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States at the age of 48.

Charles Edward married Olive Dove Doke on 28 November 1906 in Visalia. They were both 28 years old.

Charles Edward’s daughter, Coral Lorraine, was born 23 March 1908 in Visalia. Charles Edward was 29 years old at the time of her birth.

When Charles Edward was 34 years old, his brother died on 16 March 1913 in Visalia at the age of 36.

Charles Edward died at the age of 62 on 8 June 1941 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States. He was buried, plot Larch, Section Block A Lot 26, on 11 June 1941 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, which is located at 720 East Florence Avenue in Los Angeles.

After his death, his baptism and confirmation ordinances were completed, by proxy, on 26 June 1973; his endowment ordinance was completed, by proxy, 2 October 1973; and he was sealed, by proxy, for time and eternity to his parents and wife on 3 October 1973. These ordinances were all completed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Salt Lake Utah Temple, which is located at 50 North West Temple in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
