1897 – Father (Charles Henry Sperry), Mother (Caroline Webb) and I went up town. Mother went to Aunt Emma Hague’s (Emma Elizabeth Webb), Father and I went up to see Grandfather Webb (David Webb). I remained in town all night sleeping at Grandmother Sperry’s (Emily Louisa Miller).

1897 – Father (Charles Henry Sperry) and I walked up town. I called at Grandmother Sperry’s (Emily Louisa Miller) and Lil Black (Lillie May Black) and I went down town afterwards I went up to Burton’s. In the evening I went down to Foote’s for a lesson. When I returned to Burton’s, Mrs. Burton and I went down town to post a letter. Later Oscar Lunt (Alfred Oscar Lunt) came up.

1897 – In the afternoon I went up town with Father (Charles Henry Sperry) and Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry). I went up to Burton’s and then down to the Court House to practice on the typewriter but Mr. Foote had left. I met Mrs. Burton and we went to Miss Morgan’s then up to her house where Father called for me and we went down home.
