Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1896 (Friday) – In the forenoon, I visited the school. At noon, I went down to the post office with May (Grover?). I went up to Aunt Sarah’s (Sarah Elizabeth Sperry) then down to the store for her. In the afternoon, I went down to our new meeting house in the North Ward to a grand dinner. After dinner, May and I went over to Miss Morgan’s then I came up to Aunt Sarah’s to get ready for the dance. Father (Charles Henry Sperry), Art (David Arthur Sperry) and Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) went and left me so I had to go with Aunt Sarah and Min (Minnie Lamont Abbott) Abbott. After I reached there I had to go back to Grandma’s, May Grover and Birdie Goldbrough went with me. After the dance Father, Esther and I came down home.
