1947 (Saturday) – Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) and Mary (Mary Etta George) returned from their fishing trip, bringing some lovely fish, but the fish didn’t bite too well. Evening – they took me to a picture show, which we enjoyed very much. While I was away, Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) was very restless. Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) and Edna (Edna Viola Nelson) were here with Lillian (Lillian Lunt) when we got home. I don’t know what caused Dad to be so restless, but he didn’t sleep at all until daylight. Lillian and Mary couldn’t sleep. Alfred got a little rest a awhile before dawn, he came into the room and tried to talk Father into trying to sleep, he would lie down and then almost immediately start to climbing out of his bed, g through the bathroom and into the kitchen and then wander back again and climb into bed, he kept that up for hours. Finally Alfred sent me to bed with Mary out on the porch where I slept for a short time, it was certainly a terrible night.
