1947 (Thursday) – Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) still improving in health. I met Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) about 1:15 and she treated me to a picture show for a birthday present. First we did some shopping so that it was shortly after two o’clock before we reached the Lyric Theater. There was some ice skating, it was called Rhapsody on Ice. It was certainly lovely. There were also three pictures and a cartoon, which made it too long and we left before it was out.
Am very tired and sleepy tonight.
