Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1947 (Wednesday) – It has been cloudy most of the day and we had quite a shower during the day. Lillian (Lillian Lunt) and Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) had planned to go to the Fairgrounds this evening, and it kept them guessing whether they would be able to go or not, but it cleared up nicely in the afternoon. They attended the “Water Frolics”. In the afternoon Marion Thomas’s wife Pearl, 2nd counselor in the Relief society presidency, called to see me. She is in charge of the Visiting Teachers and will arrange for someone to do the visiting this month as Sister Butler is out of town. Sister Robins came over to collect for the Blue Cross Insurance and the signing of new certificates. We decided to continue both Dad’s (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and my insurance.
