1896 (Sunday) – In the afternoon, I went up town. Min (Minnie Lamont Abbott) and Maud (Ruth Maud Abbott) Abbott, Stella Taylor (Stella Jane Taylor) and I took a walk, visited our new house and then came down to Aunt Sarah Abbott’s (Sarah Elizabeth Sperry) and had supper. Afterwards, Maud Parkin’s came by Aunt Sarah’s and called us out, later we were joined by Ada Taylor (Ada Ann Taylor) and Esther (Emily Esther Sperry). Leaving Esther, Ada and the boys, we went out serenading then we went over to Aunt Augusta’s (Emma Augusta Taylor). Frank Patten and Arthur Dennis came and talked to us, we all went up to Patten’s and got some melons and returned to Aunt Augusta’s to eat them. I slept to Aunt Sarah Abbott’s.
