1897 (Saturday) – Went to town. Melvin (Henry Melvin Sperry) took me up to Burton’s. I then went down town to the post office and Hyde’s Store. Then up to Aunt Emily’s (Mary Emily Sperry) I bought a book in short hand from her. Next I went over to Aunt Sarah Abbott’s (Sarah Elizabeth Sperry) and Uncle Charles (Charles Enoch Abbott) and I went to choir practice. Min Abbott (Minnie Lamont Abbott) walked part ways home with me. I slept up to Burton’s.
