1903 (Monday) – Aunt Sarah (Sarah Edmunds) and I went to town. We visited about every store in town also the milliner store, we called at the furniture store, as they had broken by buggie on the train and I had to get it fixed. We then went to the dentist shop, where Dr. Bird examined my teeth and gave me an appointment on the following Saturday to take care of them. Going home we met May Reid, one of my old friends whom I hadn’t seen since I was sixteen years old. She had changed some, but still, her looks and actions were about the same.
In the afternoon I took baby (Lillian Lunt) down to Aunt Ret’s (Anretta Webb). Mother (Caroline Webb) had a headache so couldn’t accompany me. Florence (Florence Sperry) took Alfred (Alfred Oscar Lunt, Jr.) to school and then brought him to me afterwards. I came back to Aunt Sarah’s and in the evening we all went over to spend a few hours at a neighbor’s home, Sister Giles. Later in the evening she served ice cream and cake. We stayed until about midnight and learned how to play ping pong.
