1905 (Sunday) – It was too stormy for the children (Alfred Oscar, Jr., Lillian and Charles Gilbert Lunt) to go to Sunday School. I thought I would have all afternoon for reading, but I picked up my book and was so sleepy I could hardly hold my eyes open, I lay my head on the table and went to sleep and slept for 20 minutes or a half hour. I felt quite refreshed, so started reading again, then Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) came in and brought Uncle Shed Lunt (Shadrach James Lunt). He sat there talking until about half past four, I had barely resumed my reading again when I saw four young girls coming down the street, it was Alveretta Evans, Beulah Hoyt, Olivia Ostler and Gwen Ockey. They sat in the house talking a while and then I took them over to see the lambs.
