1916 (Saturday) – I am able now to walk about the house without crutches and with the crutches I walked a block and a half to my sister Pearl’s (Eva Pearl Sperry). I was shaking like a leaf by the time I got there and was glad for Wallace (Wallace Joseph Vickers) to bring me home in a buggy. Towards evening my husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) came home, he took me for a ride. We went down in the field to where my sister Lillian (Lillian May Sperry) lives. We brought her to town with us.
