1945 (Sunday) – I attended the Elder’s Quorum and heard a splendid talk about Africa by the Brother who has been presiding over the mission there, I think about ten years.

In Sunday School, Brother Stringham was mouth in the prayer and he prayed for Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) that she might begin to recover from her sickness and live many years in the earth serving God and keeping his commandments.

Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) family came in for awhile in the afternoon, Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) was not feeling very good, she had recently had two heart spells, the trouble is she never knows when to stop working, never relaxes. I wish she would be more careful for herself and her family’s sake.

I went to church in the evening as two soldiers were going to talk.
