1945 (Wednesday) – Sister Holman (Alice Menetta Thornton) called to tell us her husband (George Eber Holman) had returned from McGill. He didn’t bring a very good report about Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt), as the doctors said she was waging a losing battle, said, of course, she might snap out of it, but told them not to be too hopeful. He said Saturday she looked bad, after taking the penicillin, but Sunday she looked fine. Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) went out to his home to have a talk with him.
