Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Sunday) – It’s a dark and gloomy day. I awoke, after a good sleep, thinking it must be about morning, and I was soaked with perspiration, I was afraid to move for fear I might chill. I wasn’t the least bit sleepy and I waited and waited for morning to come, seemed like it never would, finally dropped off to sleep and when I awakened, Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) was home and had breakfast ready. I feel a little stronger but I can’t get my cough and hoarseness broken up.
