Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Sunday) – In the past week, I have had my days of good and bad, but I can’t seem to entirely throw off this cold, for several days a pain would come into my forehead and down my face on the right cheek, just like neurology, I would have to lay down most of the morning and have some hot on my face, shortly after noon the pain would wear away and I could do a little work, get a meal ready and I would feel pretty good. The next morning, the pain would repeat itself. This morning, I decided to meet it halfway, I got up before seven o’clock and took an aspirin, got my hot water bottle and went to sleep on the couch in the front room and was asleep when Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) got home. He prepared breakfast and I certainly felt hungry and enjoyed the meal, then I slept a little longer and the pain had left. Of course the pain never does seem like it is very far away or that it would take much to make it return.

During the week, Sister Smith (Eliza B.) was over several times.

Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) came in for a few minutes. Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and Della (Della Lunt)  came in for a little while.
