1945 (Friday) – I phoned Brother Bennett to see if I could come up to him to be administered to. I later called a cab and went up and Brother Browning and Brother Bennett administered to me. I immediately felt stronger. Everyone I met there wanted to know how Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) was. They were all interested in her since they were present at the time prayer was offered for Eva. I checked with some material in my locker and brought some of it home. I walked home. I felt fine all evening, but on Saturday, the pain in my face came back. I suppose I have sinus trouble.
During the week, we received a letter from George (George Thornton Holman). He said Eva has had her ninth blood transfusion. He thinks she thinks she is some better, she herself, keeps very cheerful and is full of hopes of the future. On Monday, they discovered she had a large abscess on her hip which broke and a lot of poison drained from it, but the main trouble, her bowels, does not improve, her color is better and she eats better.
George phoned and said Eva is still improving. Today 25th, The sun is shining brightly but there seems to be quite a wind. My face has been paining me quite bad. I rubbed on some BenGay, took a hot water bottle and lay down awhile and it is feeling better. Sister Spitzbardt came and massaged my face and head.
