1945 (Sunday) – Dorothy (Dorothy Snader) and Donald’s (Donald Snader) birthday, 20 years old. Donald in the Pacific Islands, probably the Philippines. Dorothy is doing a splendid job in her position in Ontario, takes dictation, monographs and waits on the farmers. They raised her salary to $146 per month.
I have continued to get a little stronger and my cough is almost gone, but the pain stays, though not quite so bad as it was. Sister Spitzbardt brought her electric machine and massaged my face and the top of my head. Saturday morning and in the evening, I went to her home and she did it there. It surely relieves the pressure. Brother and Sister Tronn came to see me.
