She was the 9th of 9 children, and the 5th of 5 daughters, born to the couple. She was born to her parents only marriage. She joined older siblings: Charles Benjamin, Jr., age 18, Sarah Elizabeth, age 17, Abraham Lee, age 10, Grace Viola, age 8, Margaret Rose, age 5 , and Clifton Hyrum, age 3. Her birth was after the death of her siblings, Jacob Ray and Harriet Rosabell

This was the 1st of 2 marriages for Val Evan and the only marriage for Nadine. They were later divorced
