1945 (Wednesday) – After a good night’s rest, I awoke without any pain in my face. I took a good batch and applied more heat to my face. It’s such a relief not to have that dreadful pain. I have also been rubbing my face with warm consecrated oil.
I felt like I wanted to go somewhere, so I went up to the Genealogical Society, worked for about an hour and a half and then went over to the Lion House for lunch. I renewed my membership card. I returned to work at the library and stayed about another hour and a half, talked with some of the worker’s, had the orders still in my name given to Sister Rossiter: Walter Batchelor (Walter Lunt Batchelor), Mrs. Heaton Lunt (Chloe Haws/Rose Margaret Morris), Maud L. Matheson and Sister Olpin.
I talked with Sister Ensign over the telephone about our class work. We want to get together and outline a few lessons ahead.
Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) and Pearl (Eva Pearl Sperry) came in to see me for a little while and Sister Spitzbardt gave me another massage, she said my face seems almost normal again. I am so happy to be free from the pain and, if all keeps on like this, I will soon be well again.
