1945 (Tuesday) – It’s been snowing all morning. I attended the funeral of Brother Marcus O. Funk in the Taylor Mortuary. A large crowd was present, some lovely floral offerings. Not the display witnessed at the Auerbach funeral, but oh what a different spirit was there. Two rooms were filled with people, some solos and duets were furnished and the speakers were President Beasley and Garrett Myers, the closing talk being our Bishop Langton, as he was conducting the services. It was good to meet quite a number of our old stake committee, we furnished a floral piece.
