Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Sunday) – I listened to two sessions of conference. During the noon time Uncle Edgar (John Edgar Lunt) came to see us. It is always good to see him, he remained until time for him to return to church. Sister Astle (Rose Lorena Bolton), Chuck’s (Charles Mayhew Astle, Jr.) mother, called me on the phone, she surely thinks a lot of Georgetta (Georgetta Marie Lunt), loves her like a mother should, said the baby (Kathleen Astle) was growing so lovely, a very good baby and that David (David Warren Astle) has a personality all his own, she felt he had the best of Georgetta and Chuck in him. Is very proud of her son’s little family.

Evening, Sister Smith (Eliza B. Smith) and I attended Sacrament meeting in our ward. The Summerhays families furnished the program.

It was mostly musical and very good.

I wrote to Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt), Earl (Earl Sperry Lunt) and Donald (Donald Snader).
