Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Friday) – Did my Saturdays cleaning in the two front rooms and my bedroom.  I awoke at three o’clock, my head so stuffed, I couldn’t breathe. I don’t want another sick spell, so I lay there talking to my Heavenly Father in prayer, pleading for health and the power to accomplish some of the things that I desire to do, and I felt I received a blessing. I arose from my bed by 4:10, that gave me a good start for the day. I was able to do a little typing on my Sperry records. At noon, I went down to the post office and sent a little gift to Georgetta’s (Georgetta Marie Lunt) baby (Kathleen Astle) and a ball for David (David Warren Astle). I took care of other business and then went to the genealogical library and worked on the Eby record for two hours.

After dinner, I went over to Sister Erekson’s and talked to her for an hour. Wrote to my sister Della (Emma Della Sperry).
