1945 (Sunday) – I attended teacher training. Grace Ensign gave the lesson. After class, we asked Sister Roundy to be secretary of the class. Evening – I attended Sacrament Meeting. The Holland Choir furnished the singing and Cal Rawlings was the speaker. The singing was excellent, a treat worth going to listen to. As a district attorney, Brother Rawlings has a lot of experience in youth problems. He related some of these, stressed the responsibility of parents in teaching truths to their children and standing by them in their time of need. Made a plea to parents to have family prayers, also a home night each week.
