1945 (Tuesday) – V. E. Day. Victory over Europe. Nothing much doing as all feel the seriousness of the war with the Japanese and do not feel much like celebrating until the war is over.
I attended Relief Society, there was a program in honor of the mothers and glad to commemorate V. E. Day. I had to pray at the beginning of the program. Lovely refreshments were served.
