He died of accidental suffocation from his Mother, Harriet Ann Weaver, holding him too tight when she was asked by a Bishop, James Sheldon Nelson, Sr., to stop him from crying. He was survived by his parents, Clark Alcorn, age 26, and Harriet Ann Weaver, age 24; his siblings: Lillian Alcorn, age 3, and Lenard Clark Alcorn, age 1. His death preceded the birth of his siblings: Marvin Ballard Alcorn, Joseph Lorenzo Alcorn, Archie Harold Alcorn, Melva Alcorn and Jesse Verl Alcorn (Perry)
