1945 (Wednesday) – Decoration Day. Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went up to Howard Allen’s for some flags to take down to Nephi, we left there at 9:30 and reached Nephi Cemetery at 12 noon, met some relatives and friends at the cemetery. There was a flag and wreath on Arthur’s (George Arthur Lunt) grave. We called at the city cemetery and placed some flowers on Elizabeth’s (Elizabeth Ann Grace) grave. I didn’t get out as it was raining, rained most of the time we were up there. We called at the home of Uncle George (George William Lunt) and Aunt Rose (Rose Etta Morgan), neither one feeling too good. They fed us some cake and some mince pie. We stopped and ate a lunch while coming down. We called at the home of Charles Grace (Charles Howard Grace), they were not at home. We went down to Edgar’s (John Edgar Lunt) for a little while and started home at three o’clock, reached here by six o’clock.
