1945 (Tuesday) – Sister Smith (Eliza B. Smith) and I went up to the capitol for a program and to see the crowning of the Queen for Wagon Cover Days, she was from our ward. Among the speakers was Cecil B. DeMille from Hollywood, California. The program was very lovely. Sister Ada H. Larsen came and sat with us. I learned from her that her son had been killed in Italy. Her son’s wife is living with them.
When I reached home, I found Georgette (Georgetta Marie Lunt) and her two babies (David Warren and Kathleen Astle) had arrived soon after I left. She certainly has two lovely children.
