1945 (Thursday) – Georgetta (Georgetta Marie Lunt) and babies (David Warren and Kathleen Astle) and myself went up to Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) for a few hours, Georgetta drove the car. A funny thing happened, Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) decided to come to Salt Lake for the day, she missed the bus, when we reached there, Jean (Patricia Jean Lunt) said her mother had gone into Salt Lake. While we were there talking, Jean said ‘maybe if mother happened to miss her bus, she may be at the station waiting for the next one’. Georgetta and Jean hurried there and, sure enough, there was Agnes. Another five minutes and she would have been gone, she said while there a man phoned to his father’s home to see if he had left for the city and he had just left. It looked like some influence prevented her from leaving before we could reach her.
We enjoyed our visit with them very much.
