1945 (Tuesday) – She (Sharon Alice Holman), so Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took the girls (Darlene Lunt and Sharon Holman) up with me to Main and 2nd South and we remained there to see the parade.
It was quite a lovely parade and lasted over an hour. The children and I took a taxi home. Later, Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) and her two girls went out to Holman’s for the afternoon. I had a lovely sleep. After dinner, Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) family came to see us. I sent for some ice cream and we ate that with some cookies. I rode out to the park for a while, my there was a mob of people there. After the children had enjoyed themselves on the merry-go-round, etc. We returned home. Eva had returned home with Sharon, but Darlene stayed out at Della’s (Della Lunt).
