Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Saturday) – About two o’clock in the afternoon Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me to Z.C.’s where we met Esther Naylor and he then took us up to the home of Sister Baird’s. We three were hostesses to a party for the old researcher’s. There were 14 present, out of twenty-two, who should have been there. Later, Katherine Taylor and her daughter came in. For entertainment we had a Mrs. Anderson give us a book review. She gave two biographies. We served ice cream and cake and punch. All seemed to enjoy themselves very much as it always seems so good to see the old bunch.
