Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Saturday) – Afternoon – Met some of the old researcher’s and we went out to a luncheon at the home of a former researcher Dagmar. I can’t remember her married name. She had a lovely meal, her home is wonderful and the grounds seem almost as if you were in the canyon, so restful and cool. 13 of us sat down to the table, the centerpiece were some water lilies, they were simply gorgeous and gathered from their own ponds. Those at the table: Sister’s Ockey, Clara, Edna, Ellen, Gwen, Elizabeth, Vera Moore, Heneger, Taylor, Hofer, Beard and myself.

We had a lovely time. Dagmar has two little red heads of girls and four boys.
