Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Monday) – Labor Day. After Henrietta (Henriett Grace) and girls (Betty Lou and Elizabeth Jean Johnson) left, Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went up to Clearfield for a few hours. The family was well, but tired as they have been having trouble with water coming into their basement for the last six weeks. It has been a terrible experience for them as it has destroyed so many things, it leaves a terrible smell in the house and there is the constant danger of sickness in the family. They are sure discouraged.
