1945 (Wednesday) – We rode out to Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas). He was working and Della (Della Lunt) was bewildered there was so much to be done. We took a box of candy for Ivy Joan (Ivy Joan Gabbitas) and Chip (Gordon Lewis Gabbitas) as their birthdays are on the 5th and 6th. I brought some cucumbers home and made 10 pints of bread and butter pickles.
