1945 (Wednesday) – Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me out to Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) where I spent the day helping Della (Della Lunt), the children (Ivy Joan, Gordon Lewis, Larry Lunt, Judith Ann and Ted Lunt Gabbitas) (four of them) are in school now. Della bottles 16 quarts of peaches. Little Teddy slipped away for a moment or two and they found him standing by the side of the mink pens, with a finger poking inside of the wire of two of the pens and the mink quietly watching him, had it been the fingers of a grownup, they would have savagely bitten them. Della usually keeps Teddy on a leash when at play to protect him from dangers.
