Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Sunday) – I attended teacher’s prayer meeting and then Sunday School. I gave the lesson. It was Sister Rose Valentine’s problem, she was unable to attend the class so the problem seemed a little flat as the one most interested was absent. It was her birthday and her family was having an open house for her. She is seventy years old, but looks at least ten years younger, we, Sister’s Smith, Spitzbardt and I went over for a few minutes. We saw some of her wonderful paintings which she had done. Sister Rose Blossom wrote two poem’s about her, which fitted her exactly.

Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and family came in and had a bit of lunch with us. We visited so long I couldn’t go to church, Chip (Gordon Lewis Gabbitas) spent the night with us.
