1945 (Tuesday) – I never realized how long it had been since I wrote in my journal, almost two weeks. Have been very busy at home and at the library trying to prepare my Sunday School lessons and finish Mrs. Lunt’s record, have carried her Fitz Randolph line to the Emigrant Ancestor and across the water to Sutton, Nottinghamshire, England. Have typed one set of pedigree charts and must type another set and two lots of family group sheets as I’m preparing a copy for Mrs. Lunt and one for the archives. Sunday the 23rd of September, Orma gave the lesson, taking the chart of Sister Cox. Last Sunday I had to give the lesson and took part of the pedigree of David J. Cook, I had to give the inspirational talk in prayer meeting. I bore my testimony in Fast meeting. The only babies blessed, was a pair of twin boys, they belonged to the daughter of Stella McCune Steed. Sunday Evening was genealogical evening, Uncle Karl (Karl Farnsworth) sang two songs, Esther (Emily Esther Sperry) played for him. Irene Bagley sang a song, reports were given by Brother Tron, Brother Birch, Brother Valentine took charge of the program, Brother Woodbury was the speaker. It was all very lovely.
I always find plenty to do when at home, so was busy all morning. Received a letter from Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt), she is feeling splendid.
Attended Relief Society. Ilene Bagley gave the lesson on the martyrdom of the Prophet and his brother. She is a splendid teacher. After dinner Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I rode out to Della’s (Della Lunt). I got some cucumbers.
