Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Wednesday) – I spent about three hours at the library typing charts for patron and archive for Mrs. Lunt.

Evening – My husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went to Memory Grove to witness the marriage of Raymond Howarth and Shirley Butters of Magna, he is son of Nephi Howarth and Della Shaw Howarth. The bride in a beautiful gown and veil and he in his uniform made a lovely couple. They had a best man and six bridesmaids, their bishop performed the ceremony, it was a lovely wedding party, but couldn’t help but think how much more worthwhile had the ceremony taken place in the Temple. I always feel sad to see a couple get married outside the Temple.
