1945 (Saturday) – Busy at home all day, Evening – Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went to an officers and teachers party in the 17th ward Amusement Hall, the party was given by the Bishopric, a full course dinner, program and dancing, a large crowd was present and all seemed to enjoy themselves. We did not stay for the dancing, but a splendid turkey dinner was had. I was so glad Dad was willing to go as it will be the last of this kind of a party given by the old Bishopric.
