1945 (Monday) – Went with Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) to get his paycheck, then we shopped, later I went out to Maxine’s (Maxine Carter) for lunch and took care of her children (Ardith Sharon Allen and Anice Rae Allen) while she went to the hospital. Howard (William Howard Allen) brought me home.
John (Jack) Reid (John Alden Reid), husband of Mildred Sperry (Mildred Gladys Sperry), died this morning of a heart attack. It was a great surprise as he had not been ill.
