1945 (Thursday) – Thanksgiving Day. Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went up to Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) for dinner, the first time for years we had not prepared one for some of our family. They had a turkey and everything that goes with it. We found Jean (Patricia Jean Lunt) has been sick with the flu and Mary Beth (Mary Elizabeth Lunt) with rheumatic fever. Jean – practically well and Mary Beth – improving.
Bert is now teacher of the seventies quorum and Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) is a counselor in the Mutual Stake Board. We enjoyed our few hours with them. Coming home, we called at Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) and found Della (Della Lunt) sick in bed with flu.
