1945 (Tuesday) – My Husband (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me out again to Della’s (Della Lunt), in the afternoon she was feeling much better, although she is very weak. I learned one thing from her doctor’s instructions, that a cloth dipped in alcohol around the throat is very good to relieve the congestion there and he advised in making a mustard plaster to use five spoonfuls of flour to one of mustard.
I am very tired tonight.
