Journal: Jeanette Sperry

1945 (Saturday) – Spent the morning at the library gathering more information for my lesson and finished Mansfield in Conn. N2b.vol.5. Afternoon went to see Cleo Reid. I feel sorry for her, it isn’t very nice where she is as the room is small and there are three beds in the room, it’s upstairs and they are not permitted to visit with those in other rooms. Very few of her relatives go to see her and she gets very discouraged and lonely, almost like a prisoner. Of course she should be glad she can have a warm home and someone to look after her.
