1945 (Tuesday) – Dad’s (Alfred Oscar Lunt) seventieth birthday. I celebrated it by being ill, something going the rounds, but I don’t think it’s the flu, not a bit like Della’s (Della Lunt) family, had.
Wednesday to and including Sunday, I remained in the house, have been quite sick. On Saturday, Brother Durham came in and administered to me. I have been feeling better ever since. Dad received a box of candy from Eva (Eva Ruth Lunt) and George (George Thornton Holman). I have a letter from Lillian (Lillian Lunt), also one from Dorothy (Dorothy Snader) and one from Eva.
Finished typing most of the pieces from Brother Robert B. T. Taylor’s loose leaf book, have also types quite a number of family group record from Aunt Sarah Sperry’s (Sarah Edmunds) book.
Received a letter from Bessie Sperry Kasten (Bessie May Sperry) on Saturday, answered it on Sunday. She reported that her husband (Edward Fredrick Kasten) had died 29 October 1945, she is not with her son (Victor Edward Kasten) in Indianapolis, Indiana until after Christmas, she expects to visit around quite a lot and may even come and see me in Utah.
Port (Porty Lewis Gabbitas) has been quite sick, so had to remain away from work for awhile, he is feeling better now. Orma Petersen gave the lesson Sunday. I remained home all day Sunday, it was the longest day I have spent for a long time.
