1945 (Saturday) – Right after breakfast Dad (Alfred Oscar Lunt) and I went out to Della’s (Della Lunt) with their gifts and up to Bert’s (Charles Gilbert Lunt) with theirs. Found them finishing last wrappings, and up to their necks in work, poor little Mary Beth (Mary Elizabeth Lunt) was in bed, has probably had a bad case of flu or a return of her rheumatic fever. Agnes (Agnes Coalter Golightly) rode back to Salt Lake with us as a window is out in their car. Bert came down later and they did some last minute shopping.
Evening – I went to a Christmas party at Rowene Bridge’s home, found out she had moved to 418 Center Street and that she is separated from her husband (Mr. Bridge). We had a good time at the party, but several were just recovering from the flu.
