1946 (Monday) – Oscar (Alfred Oscar Lunt) took me out to Port’s (Porty Lewis Gabbitas). I called at the hospital for a moment or two, they were so sweet to me and let me go to see her. She was looking fine, it was quite a relief. Lillian (Lillian Lunt) washed while I washed dishes and tended children (Ivy Joan, Gordon Lewis, Larry Lunt, Judith Ann and Ted Lunt Gabbitas), etc. The president of the Relief Society and a counselor, two teachers and a counselor in the bishopric came to the house. I spent the evening at home.
