MORONI T. ROWLEY AND MARY MAXFIELD:
Reporter, Clara O’Toole

Mary T. O’Toole Goodsell, late resident of France, arrived in Palo Alto, California Jan. 21, 1959, for a visit with her father, John O’Toole, before continuing on to New York where she hopes to find employment. She recently received notice of final action of a divorce decree issued in France, whereby she has resumed her maiden name. She has been employed for about seven years in Europe (mostly France). The return trip was made from Copenhagen to Anchorage, Alaska directly over the North Pole, in 16 ½ hours of flying time, but only 5 ½ hours by clock time. She left Copenhagen at 1:00 a.m. January 11th and arrived at Anchorage at 6:30 a.m. January 11th. The entire flight was made in total darkness.

Aileen (Anni) Rowley, daughter of Frank and Vena Rowley of Kenai, Alaska was married January 15, 1959 to John Hopkins formerly of Jewell, Oregon. They will make their home in Kenai. The bride was very happy to have her cousin Mary O’Toole arrive just in time, from France, to join the festivities.

Eleanor, wife of Leslie Rowley of Seattle, went to the Mayo Clinic last summer, for diagnosis and treatment. She has been under par for quite some time but is reported as greatly improved.

Another great granddaughter for your reporter. Leigh Ann, born to Dererlee Bayton Holmes, and husband Frank. She was born October 24, 1950 at Garden Grove, California. A big, healthy youngster weighed in at nine pounds and fifteen ounces.
